One And Only

One And Only

A Poem by Lily Victoria

"
Standing by you repays a thousand years,
But yet this moment is priceless.

Looking into your imperfect perfection,
Astounds me.
How could I live without you?!

The feelings felt deep inside my soul,
Try to leap outside of my chest.
But being in shock makes you speechless.

The desire to stand by you forever and always,
Lingers in my heart.
To be there for the good,
The bad,
And the ugly.

When you fall.
I fall.
But we'll help each other up in the process.

Even in this quiet moment
Where speech has gone on vacation,
You being here gives meaning to life.

You give out vibrancy with your smile and help the sun shine.
Simple encouragement that's given from your lips,
Makeup for a thousand striking words said in a lifetime.

Loving you is easier than throwing a small rock,
But yet you'll never be a burden as heavy.

Everything about you is overwhelming.
A fascination longed to be found.
I learn something new everyday I'm with you.

But these 3 simple words
I Love You,
Mean the world and everything else.

Looking into your face makes the earth quake but when I'm with you,
The water's calm.
I Love You.

My heart cries out for your love and affection!
No care could compare to the care I have for you.
I Love You.

I'll stand by you forever and always.
With your influence in my life,

You encourage me to dig deeper.

Emotionally.

Spiritually.

Physically.

Watching you is pure amazement.
Everything you're passionate about,
Is valid to my life.

You influence me and make me a stronger person.
Now I'm here writing this poem about you,
When you were the one who started to get me interested.

When we were little,
A joke was thrown out,
And there you were.
Instead of catching it,
You threw it into another mans arm.

The very first time someone stood up for me in my life.
I still remember and will never forget.

"Will you marry me?"

What you said after the bullets flew.
Seen as a childhood game with everyone around.
But of course "No" was a simple answer.

"Yes" wasn't easily announced in that part of life.
Especially when your young.

But from the moment I met you,
I felt something real.
Not just raw emotion,
But a reality that was meant to last eternity.

There's one question left to consider.

Do you feel the same way?
