I Call them to My Dreams

I Call them to My Dreams

A Poem by John

Can I lay with you for you showed me what yours is

The first time I came into your room's webs

The next time you showed me what was behind all this

But we became friends for the sea rises then it ebbs

Your conquering smile your continuing friendship

The pass of the hand the delight in your eyes that laugh

But any friendship can tear and be not when they rip

Therefore I give you not all but merely a half

But her webs have things she sees but I do not see

Like men that carry boxes when none are there

She talks of seeing people tomorrow that can't be

For they are in a sailor's town somewhere

I hate testosterone for you come to smile

When all I want is just to rest a while.
