My Dear

My Dear

A Poem by Sarah Flanigan
"

I wrote this my sophomore year of high school, when I should have been paying attention in Geometry class.

"
Write what you know, my dear.
Write what you know.
Where do I go, my dear?
Where should I go?
I no longer know, my dear,
I no longer know.

It's all give and take, my dear.
It's all give and take.
What's true, and what's fake, my dear?
What's true, and what's fake?
It is what you make, my dear.
It's all what you make.

What do I do, my dear?
What should I do?
I'm down and I'm blue, my dear.
So down and so blue.
Will you stay true, my dear?

I will always be true ♥

About
I'm an introverted bookworm. I tend to spend my days drinking far too much coffee and playing my ukulele too loudly. Life is strange and surreal, but also beautiful somehow. more..
