Average Vengeance

Average Vengeance

A Poem by Tobi
"

The difference between humans is negligible

"

A flood of quantity,
Can overwhelm the light.
Your faith in destiny,
Cannot halt the night.

No balance can be tipped,
By any skills you possess.
Your boon is negligible,
As you try to escape the mess.

A difference so slight,
It can barely be seen.
Your confident stance wavers,
When you witness the great unclean.

Hordes of darkness charge.
Will you stand your ground?
I'm sure you would roar in defiance,
But terror doesn't make a sound.

Advancing so close,
Past words provide no aid.
A once superior belief,
And now the claims must be paid.

War cries of the many,
Before you're trodden underfoot.
Your talent is meaningless,
And in your place you were put.

When the Unchosen march,
The battle shall begin,
And it takes more than one,
To face them and win.
