Clocks

Clocks

A Poem by Emme
"

Not the coldplay song :) although the song was part of my inspiration (along with a friend of mine)

"
Don't make me angry
The angrier I get, the faster the clock ticks
And the sooner I explode
There are clocks in my head
Telling me when to take action
When to speak
And when to move
Sometimes the clocks controlling the speed of time
Seem to move at the speed of sound or of light
There's the grandfather clock
Reminding me what life was like
Before people tried to change me
And modernize me
There's my inner sundial
Sometimes I want to be one with nature
There's the classroom clock
For when I just want something to end
Or the stopwatch
Counting down the time in my life
Last but not least,
There's the alarm clock
Bringing me back to reality

That is a very real poem, I enjoyed it very much. I have always thought that time is so much more significant in a persons than life than just the time of day and alignment of the sun and moon. But, you really hit the nail on the head here, expressing the different styles of clocks related to our daily lifes.
