Whistle Along to the Tower, Come.

Whistle Along to the Tower, Come.

A Poem by Idyllwyld
"

"If you want to come and play, Run along the BEAM today!"

"

It's cold and vacant

along the Path of the Beam today.

I've been travelin' far

and see no end in sight.

The visions that I have had

have me standing at the balcony.

And I'll be waiting for you,

but who you are I do not know.

The wind blows high,

and shrieks past my ears.

The chill drills deep into my bones.

It's the Badlands, they say

The Wastelands, 'fore that.

Now the White Lands of Empathica, ya' see?

It's a long road to the Tower

Travelin' as I do.

It's a long and silent way,

and gunfire makes no say.

I dream of the end,

see it oh so clear.

But I'll wear down a hundred boots

on my way to hell.

I thankya' for your kindness

I shoulder your curses, well-deserved.

I hope we're all well met in the clearing

Where at the end of the Path we'll meet.

Yet 'tis I lie, I know, and I do speak it false.

For there's no clearing fo' me.

Only the Tower lies ahead, and I fear it so,

For time's no friend to me.

I've treaded through the desert sands,

And I see your footprints nigh.

Your blue robes flowing gaily,

reminding me of....hope.

We follow for now, say thankya'

And for the time we do.

But do know that I'll miss you,

when your path begins to go.

But if ya' would, for now dear miss?

I ask just a small favor, ye' ken?

Would ya' do me please, if ya' can

and whistle a tune for me.

...I'll be writing a response to this.

this talks of a far away land to me, I like it-not many people forge long lasting friendships it seems, they are not in it for you but rather themselves and what they can gain from it ir not-there is only one I know who gives life-long companionship and he walks not upon this earth!
