Wicked Essence

Wicked Essence

A Poem by Billy Sullivant

Under the bloody moon lies a sea full of answers.
Full of hope and serenity that would save all.
Until a curse was set on the that reversed it all.
Any of those who came near the waters, would disappear.
None were safe from the vile curse set upon the sea.
They say the waters were called the Revile of Spring,
before a wicked essence had a curse to bring.
A mysterious serpent lies within the sea to devour everything.
A young woman who is pure in heart
travels to the sea so she can be saved from evil.
She says her prayers without a struggle.
As the bloodstained moon sets into place. She falls uneasy.
Ripples from the grow and grow rapidly.
Waters splash and a creature raises its head.
She grips her breast to contain her heartbeat.
The creature widens its mouth and devours the woman.
