Underneath The Mask

Underneath The Mask

A Poem by Isabella Anne Williams
"

Figure out your own meaning. Poems are not about being handed the answer. They are about finding it on your own.

"
Underneath the Mask
Feeling as though my heart ha been ripped from my chest
scared
afraid
alone
no one understands
no one ever will
wanting to tell someone
but I won't
I can't
It hurts to say nothing
but more to say something
my head constantly spinning
my thoughts constantly wandering
no one can feel the way I feel
no one can hurt the way I hurt
yet I keep going
hiding my feelings
hiding myself
it's eating away at me
but I let it keep going
I must be strong
but I feel weak
I cover pain with fake smiles
and weakness with strength
I am not what it seems
Underneath the Mask
