Mirror

A Poem by Immilea Chayse

Mirror mirror on the wall
Who's the fairest of them all

It cant be I for I have not
All the things that she has got

Don't tell me mirror I know it now
Don't explain or tell mw how

Mirror mirror on the wall
She's the fairest of them all

She has beauty she has style
She must never go an extra mile

For she is pretty and will never be
The one who has to work like me

If only I were just like her
If only I were something more

I'm sick of being in my skin
Its like a game I'll never win

Mirror mirror on the wall
I'll never be fairest of them all

It all depends on one's definition of "fair" - behold your own beauty, and others see it too. Great flow and rhyme here, with a meaningful message. Well done! Keep writing!

I think we have all felt that way at one time or another. Your poem is well written and the rhyme and flow are perfect. Nice work. I look forward to reading more by you. :) Julie
