Peace From Heaven

Peace From Heaven

A Poem by PerfectFlaw90
"

I was sitting in my room listening to the rain and my friend suggested I wrote a poem about it. So here it is.

"

Peace from heaven
Soothing repetition
The droplets of water
Life’s intermission
Many fall
But become one sound
And against the windows
Their call resounds
Soothing harmony
Brings a calm
Unwinding mind
Like David’s Psalm
A liquid wave
Bringing sleep
And into my mind
It slips in deep
Washing away
Cares and worries
They are all gone
In a wind-swept flurry
And as they fall
Into the night
I know somehow
Everything is alright

This is really lovely. Captures the serenity that rainfall gives. The rythm and words all flow together very nicely. I liked where you compared it to "David's psalm". Good job.

Flows like a river...
Great rhyme and such tranquility in this one...

The last line seems kind of awkward. Like too many syllables. But I like the idea though. How about..."All is right"?
