Distance

Distance

A Poem by Inkoutdapen

I stretch reaching for the star
that seems so close yet so far
The distance sets us apart
But what stands out
is not that far at all

I wish and wish if only could be there
Shining in the dark with no fear
What is this spark the same light
that eliminates and brings this sight

Even a blind man can feel the air
The motion the sound that tickles the ear
At a distance it seems like its right here
when really its over there

Kinda like love
When you think its beating inside here
Really its running over there
To the one you really care

That's why what stands out
is not really far at all
