Show Her

Show Her

A Poem by Inked Superman

Was always raised to be that guy,
That one that won't make you cry.
The one who was told to be truthful,
No matter how much it may be brutal.
Always to treat a lady with respect,
It's only way I was taught was correct.
Knowing no matter how things will end,
You always start by being her friend.
Be there through all her ups and downs,
Be the one to take away all the frowns.
Show her that all guys are not the same,
Show her that I don't see this as a game.
I was raised to be a southern gentleman,
That respect is still something genuine.
I'm a loyal and truthful kind of guy,
Not one that will ever cheat and lie.
Problem is most won't look past skin,
Only out there looking for a perfect ten.
The one's who keep notches on their belt,
Counting how many girls they have felt.
They all have the looks and money part,
The one thing that they lack is a heart.
Their ego is never able to be fulfilled,
How to treat people was never instilled.
They just make it hard for us real ones,
Make girls think that we are just reruns.
So I will sit back, let her heal and cry,
Prove that I'm different and not that guy.
