Hailey and the Ocean

Hailey and the Ocean

A Poem by Mark
"

Inspired by this photo of my granddaughter Hailey, taken by her mother Nicole.

"
Oh the blue and the line
where sky and water meet!
Look at the white foam
rushing, pounding the shore.
I shall sail on this wind
with these arms
lifted on this blue
promise of life.
over pounding surf
far above the pier
looking back and smiling
'Look! Mom! I'm flying!'

Mark this is one lovely poem. You took the photograph and painted it in the love you have for Hailey. Inspiration from the heart!

Written with all the energy and enthusiasm of an eager, confident child, both original an inspiring.

Lovely semi whimsical piece of inspired verse Mark. We poets get the best out of emotion.

It is a beautiful picture. Cute poem too.

Such a sweet and beautiful piece. The innocence of a child makes even the ocean and the sky, the shore and the horizon bow their heads in resigned defeat. I love the imagery here, and the last lines really pulled me in. You've brought beauty and emotion to something that will live on forever as a cherished memory.
