Woman

Woman

A Poem by Mark

Winking stars,
their smiles
shine for you.

I wish I knew the words.
Maybe a compass to point you,
lenses to help you see.

In all the universe, in
this tiny little world,
it is your uniqueness

that makes you beautiful.

Thank you Poppy! :)
This goes to show that flowery exaggerated compliments fall short of classic heartfelt sincerity. What womans heart wouldn't be touched by this poem? Perfect Mark...

An excellent tribute to Woman. So very true and that is from someone who has done the field research at some cost lol! A lovely thoughtful and beautifully gentle poem Mark.

First stanza really reminded me of Coldplay's song, "Yellow" almost too familiar. Second stanza was a bit confusing in the way it's worded. Add a comma after "a compass to point you" to help clear that confusion? First line, the way it blends with the second, it just doesn't for me--it's jarring because it tears me from the poem. Another comma? Or fuse the lines more? Either way, yes, I agree with Coyote. This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

A beautiful poem and photo. Sometime hard to find something to equal to beauty of the kind people in our life. You did. Thank you for the amazing poetry.
