Story

A Poem by Mark

Sitting around while the cave light sang
old man gray in the beard
paints his pictures with a voice
practiced in the arts of creation.

"Once, far far away..."

The story; of filled lives
hope, glory, pain and despair
Rising above, held down
by evil and the darkness.

Triumph, revenge,
forgiveness and yes, the crown jewel
of all....

Love.

The old man lowers his arms slowly
his audience enthralled
to tears, not at the emotions
he invoked,
but rather, that now it is ended;
sadness that the story is done.

Usually people are judged by the stories they tell . Their stories tell us about their personal struggles, pain, happiness and the meaning of life . I loved the part
"his audience enthralled
to tears, not at the emotions
he invoked,
but rather, that now it is ended;
sadness that the story is done.
" . A wonderful poem :)

they seem innocuous but the old men have stories and wisdom to impart that can surprise us all. the more stories they tell the more we want to hear more and learn from him.

Wow, this is a special write. The title is perfect as we all are writing our own stories. I especially like the message below:

Triumph, revenge,
forgiveness and yes, the crown jewel
of all....

Love.

Well written!
