What you believe

What you believe

A Poem by Mark

Who knows where your faith might lead us?

Your death, mine.

Only believe and what you
shall see becomes shuttered.

unvarnished wood slats open, close
depending where you put it.

Who knows what light we might find?

Your life or mine?

Exercised and strong
it becomes a gravity
of shaping, warping
white light
dark night
soul drenched,
refracted,
created,
destroyed,

reality.

A great poem on faith. Very insightful and thought-provoking.

I like this poem a lot especially its construction and the juxtaposition of death and life. I found that the two images slammed together creating that electric jolt we call reality.

Thank you dear lady :)
Reality is overrated Mark. Come - join us in the between-lands, where the harsh white concrete has no dominion and age is only a myth. :)

I'm Irish. I am made of brooding but concerns and stress are easily let go. :)
