Seasons of Love

Seasons of Love

A Poem by Mark
"

I've always been fascinated with beginnings, endings, cycles.

"
I could taste the reasons
in the flavor of seasons.
You ran through me
like ice in Spring.

I was the lone mountain
watching a flowing fountain.
Thirsty for love;
you made me sing.

Tangled up, two souls
sometimes make two holes
aching when cut
where we did cling.

Feeling your heart still,
the healed scars fill
the cold hollow
Winter will bring.

I agree . Nice poem.

there is so much emotive language that can be felt here.. your voice is lyrical, solemn in parts, seasons and years, watchful of their renewing, the changing world and each nuance a reminder of that love, beautifully worded.

Wonderful imagery Mark, Iove the first verse so much, new love can be as shocking as ice! So sad at the end too.

:)
You ran through me like an ice in spring, did it for me, that sentence says so much about how sensitive you're a man of seasons, when it change, it touches you radical, well i can shake hands with you... I just wrote so many already about seasons, and nature, and change, I let it there for a while.... but I feel you in this one, emotional, and heartfelt. It must be your gipsy heart... ;)
