Questioning

Questioning

A Poem by Dawn Jones

Sweet words,

Shared late into the night.

A friendship blooming.

A rose in the moonlight,

Opening petals to welcome a harsh world.

Will this last?

Is this real?

So cynical now.

The child gone,

Welcoming the coming dawn with tired eyes.

A broken heart.

So sweet the words,

Glowing on the screen.

Can they be believed?

Is it not the fate of every recorder of perception to experience these doubts? Perhaps I've become a cynic in my old age (The child IS gone). Still, folks like us will always hope and wonder "What if" about new acquaintances. BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) can be an alluring temptress. Such things that virtual strangers say! Still... We hope...

Oh yeah... This is the part where I state the obvious: Once again, you ROCK!

Love it - It starts off by describing something exciting and new, a world full of promises, a new light.
And then towards the end, with but can it be trusted? or should you be hesitant and wary?
