Winters Kiss

Winters Kiss

A Poem by Inyourshadow
"

When I was cold you warmed me

"
When winters kiss denied me warmth,
and bound me neath her linen White.
Accusing me with eyes of ice,
casting me down into this night.

When icicles pricked at my flesh,
and drew from me my very blood.
That turned the snowdrops pink then red,
and showed my pain was understood.

When in the stead a single rose,
poised resplendant and alone.
I realised you spoke to me,
and simply said you're not alone.

Thy dew drop kiss I gentle sip,
in this sweet taste upon my lip.

.
how beautiful the personification of winter into a sensual but deadly woman..

Winter being a cold month of course lures my thinking to realize that there are humans cold as ice and very much equal to the freezes. Excellent poem!!!!

It certainly has an amazing flow to it. The feeling of it is quiet mystical in some way. Nicely done. :)

Well done as always. Wonderful rhyme and flow. Love the last two lines. Keep on penning.
