Nowhere Land

Nowhere Land

A Poem by The Iron Horseman
"

An eerie image of the place that haunts ones dreams, the place we all end up sooner or later...

"

The Nowhere Land lurks in the dying light,

The heart quails with the onset of night,

The soul breaks free to roam and wander,

From the darkness here to the darkness yonder.

Unseen trees rustle unseen leaves,

To the chilling tune of a cold, damp breeze,

While scudding clouds dodge a red moon sliver,

And ancient stones stand and shiver.

Only pale shapes move in this Nowhere Land,

Where Terror and Death walk hand in hand.

Wraiths glide through crumbling walls,

Midst slashing rain that comes in squalls.

Where? Nowhere. Lost in space.

Lost in time, lost to grace.

If you're here, it's much too late,

The Nowhere Land is the home of Fate.
