The Paradox Of Life.

The Paradox Of Life.

A Poem by Maximus
"

This poetry describes the sadness and pain of a cancer patient.

"
In the shade of my fragile existence,
Lies a poignant tale that calls for resistance.
A cancer's shadow creeps within,
Devouring joy, making my head spin.

Sadness and pain knock on my door,
Bringing a burden I can't ignore.
In hospital walls, my days go by,
Counting moments, asking myself why.

Yet amidst the darkness and the strife,
I search for meaning in this fragile life.
A perspective shaped by unseen hands,
Guiding me through this barren land.

For the cancer's grasp is not my doom,
But a catalyst for growth to bloom.
In sadness, I find an empathetic thread,
Binding me to others, sharing their dread.

Amidst the suffering, a flickering light,
A beacon of hope in the depths of the night.
Though cancer rages, it cannot contain,
The resilience and strength that will remain.

And so, I view life through a different lens,
Grasping moments, treasuring each sense.
For in the face of pain, a deeper truth,
That joy can sprout from sorrow's root.

As I navigate this uncertain plight,
I mark each day with renewed insight.
The minutes, the hours, they silently teach,
That life's brevity demands us to reach.

To live fully with the time we are given,
To cherish love, both taken and given.
For in this mortal coil, we must embrace,
The paradox of life, its fleeting grace.

It has been said that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I agree with that philosophy, but applying it in the face of something like cancer takes real dedication. I sincerely hope this one is not autobiographical.
