Reality within a dream

I dreamt there was a raging river between us

The sun was about to set

I could see your lips moving , but i couldnt hear your voice

The events of the day had exhausted me , and as i lay down to rest

I watched your image on the other side disapppear into the pitch black paint

The rays of the morning sun washed clear, what it is i couldnt see

They seemed to calm the waters but your image was lost to me .

I called out to you desparately , but you didnt answer me .

I swam across to meet you , but you werent there for me .

My senses were decieving me , organised sabotage

I refused to believe their lies.

until i awoke to the sound of silence

JUst a dent in the cold pillow next to me.

Was i living a dream in reality or reality within a dream.
