Conversation with Wisdom

Conversation with Wisdom

A Poem by J.A.Bentley
"

Inward musings

"

Shall we create peace

with the machine of war

and solve hunger

with a little less more?

No.

We should not solve the problem with what created the problem.

Next.

Shall we fly on dreams

to escape the ground

and swim in emotions

just to drown?

No.

Do we have wings to fly and fins to swim? We have legs to run so find the answer there first.

Next.

Shall we shake hands

with latex gloves

and sign on peace

with pens of blood?

No.

We shall not sign with what is shared while trying to keep our image separate.

Next.

Shall we be empty

and fill our tanks

Hate is on time

Love always late?

No.

Love fills in what hate empties.

What are these questions?

They reflect the real world.

Really?

Who would want to live there?

When hate is rampant

and love is bare.

True. Makes you think what the 7 billion people think about it.

Do they even know Peace?

It isn't an absence of trouble

or living outside

in your own bubble.

What is it?

Peace is more.

More than a lack of trouble and noise

It's your heart that is filled

with a calm of Love that fills the void

Interesting. Go on.

Who are we to accept Love?

Accepting just acknowledges it's presence

Love must choose and change you

that is peace's essence.
