Falling into the allure of heights

Falling into the allure of heights

A Poem by J.A.Bentley

If all we see is starlight

heightened against the darkness

it streams through our lenses

illuminating

reaching through

the tendrils of darkness

that hold fast onto our heart

for before we were one with Darkness

but now the darkness vibrates in anger

for the light

that stream of starlight

has released and set the captive heart

free

now we see the distance

we yearn not just for starlight,

but more,

the star in entirety.

That single goal

that simple fact

transcribes upon our heart,

through that first step

to final one,

the thirst for more.

Until we are caught up in fiery passion

a blazing whirlwind

our essence bathed, adorned

in ever-widening stream of starlight

we become the whispered storm

high above, deep in love.
