Storms

Storms

A Poem by Emilia Lowenstein
"

Rhymes, prayers, and hope. What happens during the storm.

"

Storms

The breeze will take me where it wants

As I lay my head to rest.

I've given up after too many tries,

But I gave it all my best.

My best until the very end

Was sometimes not that great.

But who can blame my saddened mind

When I'm in such terrible state?

I'll watch on with patience,

Loyalty, and grace.

And learn to sit becomingly

in my predetermined place.

Stars fall around me,

And leap into my palms.

And listen to the inner bickering

Of a person's guilty qualms.

As I lay with clouds at my head,

And the wind playing the role of my guide,

The only thing left for me to find now,

Is something to be by my side.

I've searched, and searched,

And searched again.

God, help me find it, please.

I want it soon, Amen.

If I'm gone too long in sky,

I'll lose myself in thoughts.

And storms in those seas are never good,

You pay the pricey costs.

I like the flow of it, it sounds very good. The rhythm is good.
