Released Beauty.

Released Beauty.

A Poem by Rose Masen

Screams of help, leaving her lips in a whisper,
Muted by the world, nothing to stop the violence.
Striking hands not as gentle as when he kissed her,
Emotions bruised, a battering being yearning to break the silence.

Clouds of grey in her eyes while the sun rises for another,
The mirror reflects reality, innocence slowly shattered.
Beauty portrayed as loving hands now arose to smother,
Knowing the truth reputations to cover; nothing else mattered.

Alone, bruised, battered and broken- nothing is left,
A soul destroyed, a heart aches, no love from the start.
A mind burned, closing in on her, a decision is set,
A muted goodbye, one last breath- a hollowed core at her depart.
