So Close Yet So Far

My third limerick.

Trying our best to exceed every goal,
Has started revealing a deathly toll
On the brink of death
With one last breath
Feeling darkness swallow you whole.

Limericks are great, and this one makes a wise statement about life. We should all learn to recognize our limits and accept what we can and can't do. I've heard that the high suicide rate in Japan is because of social pressures to achieve.
