Knights

Knights

A Poem by Joel A Doetsch

It's all well and good
to sit and wait for your
knight in shining armor

Passing up all who
don't meet your
particular standards

However,
It might be good to keep in mind
that most men don't own horses

Much appreciated, Michael.
I've got a horse that owns me. But I really take your point.

Bing Crosby didn't particularly like being put up on that white steed in White Christmas, I think he was afraid of falling off

Thank you kindly, Pax
But a lot of horses own men, as they lope along stealing hearts, souls and money.Be careful how you rattle a women's cage , you never know when they may run back up the rope and jump in your saddle.

This is an interesting little poem. Well constructed with good flow. It feels slightly bitter yet tongue in cheek

Why on earth haven't people left a great pile of reviews on your writing.. this is such a concise yet flowing piece of humour. Not funny, not ha-ha- ha but sharp wit. Love it!
