A Sonnet on Justification

A Sonnet on Justification

A Poem by John Carver

HOW PRECIOUS THE BLOOD

It is Jesus Christ who saves you not you
For it's by his blood you are justified in the law
To go beyond now justified and true
For he was the lamb that's perfect with no flaw
When saved there is no way you can then die
For you are justified by the blood of the Son
And if you believe in him, "Abba, Father!" now cry
And his Father will hear you from your cross when done
For you've suffered a while your tribulation then
To make you purer than in times before
So endure for glory your salvation when
You reach the Kingdom of our Lord and more
For you honor Christ not yourself in all you do, see?
But remember it is all him and none of thee.
