A Sonnet on Laying Around Heaven All Day

A Sonnet on Laying Around Heaven All Day

A Poem by John Carver

Ask the Lord to give you a mission and to commission you for battle!!!

When knowing evil will be on its way to you
Engage it first to spirit them away
That instead of being spirited away; what they do
You'll have the edge and make them defend all day
And if asking the Lord he will be with you in it
The way through and to the end his glory made
Not on the defensive but with you really in it
And help you build the foundation that is laid
Did Paul? Did Apostles? Missionaries wait
For evil's attack and bear it suffering
Remembering that they deserve your hate
Without a sin in your heart your buffering?
So catch them off their guard and hit them hard
And if you can, leave them completely charred.

When Christ is with you, who can stand against you? Christ will be with you all the way and if you die resurrect you; his guarantee. Help God make all of Christ's enemies his footstool.
