Sonnet on Thought Alive But Dead

Sonnet on Thought Alive But Dead

A Poem by John Carver

THE LIVING DEAD

Your reputation says you are alive
But you are dead so strengthen what remains
And is about to die and start to thrive
For your works have not been found  complete in God's sight
Remember what you received and heard for keeps
And change your mind but if you will not wake up
He'll come like a thief for the sower also reaps
He'll come against you and never will he make up
But the one who does his name will not then be
For blotting out of the book of life for sure
For he will be worthy of it and made to see
If not for Christ there is no other cure
But the one who does will be as those not soiled
And walk with Jesus in white to never be spoiled
