My Only Love...

My Only Love...

A Poem by J. F. Charleston

"What is your love?" she asks
her voice soft
her tone low

My head spinning
my heart throbbing
breath no longer available
my gaze stable

Sweet lips...
tempting and lushes
smooth and wet
leave remarkable strokes
like paint brushes

Somewhere
deep down
I find her answer
only her and nothing else.

Hmm...It's one of those deep loved feelings that takes very little to say.. But in doing that you've expressed volumes. I hate the "less is more" factor thinking in certain circumstances...but this is one exception to that rule. Leaving the reader with the emotional edge of wanting what you put to paper is enchanting all by its self. This piece can be read as though he's put on the spot for an answer..anxiety bleeding through his thoughts..."what's a good answer here?"....or just taking a look at what she means to him and finding that she actually knows just by the way he looks at her...she can feel it blaze through his gaze at her. His eyes telling her what words lack... got carried away there in thought. Perfect example there..lol
Thank you very much for the RR. :) Captivating read...many times BTW :)
