I'll Think of You

I'll Think of You

A Poem by J. F. Charleston

Five hours ago

You ended what we had

And pushed me out

I didn't even shout

This interstate has nothing

But old memory lanes

And songs that remind me of you

I'll drive on and cry

Scream and speed too

Race the clock for nothing

And I'll think of you

You probably thought it

Wouldn't hurt so bad

I hope you feel the way I do

And throw a major fit

A million tears a mile

A thousand lost smiles

A hundred lost kisses

And just someone

who Is gonna miss you

You're memory will haunt me

your face will never fade

even though the picture"s

color will turn a different shade

but I'll still think of you

When I'm alone, there's nothing

else I can do, but think

back what we were and who

that girl you were once

and I'll think of you

You know how to write, bro! I can't explain it. You just have an amazing talent for portraying your emotions, and this poem is proof. I was kind of left speechless after reading, which is why I don't have much to say. But less is more, I suppose.

By the way - I really like the title!
