Commitments have been made, the die has been cast

First love is in the shade, a question of will it last

Responsibilities abound, a new light starting to shine

Memories are unwound, separate lives become entwined

To stay or to go, commitment or new love

The future no one can know, someone please give me a shove

"A shove but in which direction?" Is what I'm left asking. I like that you have allowed the reader to ponder the outcome. As I ponder this, I find the irony in choosing a new love is the decision will once again have to be made to stay or go. Interesting piece. Thanks for sharing it.
