Taken

We are all taken at some point each day

You come find me when I least expect it

There are times where I just don’t want to submit

You attack me when I am at my weakest

I cannot say, that, by you I always want to be kissed

You take me during the day occasionally

But only when I sit around aimlessly

You usually take me at night

Unless I am full of freight

When I am talking to my love

You take me away with a shove

Leaving them wondering where I went

Later I have to say it was an accident

To leave them hanging and waiting

I wish I was better at abating

And keeping you at bay

Maybe I will be good at it one day

But for now as much as I fight you

My time with you is overdue

So even though I want to fight

All I can say is good night

Sleep is here to take me
