What is Love

What is love in the big picture

Is it a singular feeling or a mixture

Does love really conquer all

Or is love really our downfall

Is love enough to overcome

What happens when only one succumbs

Do you think love is an addiction

Or better described as an affliction

Does love ever expire

Can it really inspire

Is love really blind

Or is vision temporarily confined

Can love be compared to sun light

Without it you are left in perpetual night

Too much and you could burn or die

The right amount is hard to quantify

Love is powerful there is no doubt

It can make you scream and shout

Though this could go either way

Full of joy or just full of dismay

I believe love is unconditional

Not just the feeling of the physical

But the emotional as well

It can feel like you are under a spell

Love can make us better, or worse

It can be a blessing or a curse

No matter how it affects you

There is one thing that is true

Love requires a risk, even if it’s scary

Without risk there is no chance to remarry
