To all who have ever had a rough-patch, or are going through one now

To all who have ever had a rough-patch, or are going through one now

A Story by Joshua Gerlach

Life is like a coin; it can be obtained, it can be spent, it can be lost and it can be flipped.
Life always boils down to choices, the good and the bad, and when a bad choice comes along, its intoxicating, you can't get enough of it, its a thrill like you've never felt before, but deep down inside you know its wrong, and you know you should stop, but its an addiction, and quitting is the hardest choice of all, which is why it must be chosen, or the world would be in chaos. What you’re doing: its a choice, its heads or tales, 50/50, your conscience says “No.” but your body says “Yes!” it’s like a fork in the road,
and your conscience is saying “Take the right path.” And you ignor it and proceed left, and no matter how many chances you get to choose the right way, you go in a different direction, and soon that direction will end in a brick wall, and you won’t even notice it as you hit it at top speed. But the other 50%; Your conscience. Wants you to flip the coin again, and make a better choice, or you’ll hit that brick wall, so for once in your life, listen to your conscience and stop at the fork, and flip a coin, and when that coin is flipped, pray that it takes you down the right path
and hopefully you’ll get to go a new direction and see new sites.
We all must make mistakes, it's in our DNA, its the way we're programmed, we make mistakes to learn from them. The idea of a perfect being is a fantasy, it cannot be created without guidance or mistakes.
You have the free will to choose, you just need a coin to flip, for guidance.
