THE UPWARD JOURNEY

After a long and tedious journey

I reached the peak of the Himalayas, The Mount Everest

I know for long I can’t take rest

When I looked down

My head reeled off

I was afraid that I might fall down

But I mustered courage and determined to stay there

I wondered How I could get to the top

I know how difficult it is for me to stay at the top

However,I can’t come down either

The only thing I can do is to go up further and further

Until you reach the summit .. this poem makes me think of being half way there and getting a bit anxious .. knowing up is the only way to go - some inspiration in your words.
I like the poem - have always wondered of the allure Mount Everest holds for so many .
