Clear West

Clear West

A Poem by Jacky Bones

As you stand there listening

Hearing my voice twistng

Watching. Over the flower

That snaps at the edge

of my feet

Turns to miles

I always said don't go for her

But here I am

Sleeping on you streets

Believing

At every turn

At every 5/4

I'll learn

What you taught

But these crosses aint yours

So I'd be greatful

If you'd beg for mercy

These eyes bleed mercury

At the thought

Of your grace

If you'd kiss my face

with the palm

of your goodbyes

She said, She said, She said

"I found my way

but I cant remember

So I guess I'm not coming

back to you"

Close your eyes

And wish

Cause my lungs

Are gunna burst

An fill these halls

With my gaurdian angels

There wings spred across

The walls

mimics our shadows

in horrific dances

So I sing these songs

Without Voice

My eyes are made of glass

And my heart is filled with sand

I'll pull the weeds

Plant a seed

Hope it will last

No don't you

take me here

Cause this is How

No Don't you

take me here

Cause this is How

Its always been

She said

She would

never forget me

As she kissed my brow

Waiting for the good in Everything

Theres no tragidies

in Accidents

only tragidies

in the lack of

Life like dreams

That sing so sweet

To the Rhythem of

The beat of my heart

Broken from a brake up

I'm cut

Cut myself

from myself

from my left ear

to my right ear

My teeth brake

Every time I'm here

hearing your voice

Oh holy grave

The box cutter

is closing in on my

life long choice

And I'll gladlt pay

With my life
