Guitar broken heart strings

Guitar broken heart strings

A Poem by Outcast
"

Play the instrument that is your heart.

"
Wasting away, is what if feels like

Why cant i trade it out for another life?

Always giving never asking for much in return

Gave everything i had till i really felt the burn

I would sit in my room and play till my fingers bled

I would pour my soul out singing, lyrics ive never read.

My guitar broken heart strings.

You made my heart strings break

My guitar broken heart strings

My guitar began to ache.

My guitar broken heart strings.

Always been pushed down, looking for a chance to come.

I swear one day ill rise, youll know just where im from

Hiding behind the blue eyes, and the dimples on my cheeks

I had music to tell my story, when i just couldnt speak

Though my heart may be broken, my guitar still plays fine.

Maybe its better that they broke, because it will never be my time

And the day my guitar breaks, is the day ill walk the line

Ill play those broken chords,  because you were never mine.
