This was inspired by "Fire Woman" by The Cult.

By the light of the fire

We danced the night away

Together through it all

As the smoke curled up

Into the dark sky

Lightning flashes

From dead clouds

But we'll be safe

While we're together

And we'll dance

By the light of the fire

You make me burn

As my heart bursts into flame

I'll twist around with you

And we'll burn the ground

With our passion

As we live forever away

By the light of the fire

Remind me of my time I spend with some Gypsies in Europe. The fire brought good people with good stories and wine together to celebrate being alive. I like the feel and the emotion of this poem. We need to sing and dance by the fire with friends and laughter. A excellent poem.
