Breathing Through Tears

Breathing Through Tears

A Story by Young&Reckless
"

So this is about the murder of my childhood best friend but written like I was the one to find the body.. If that makes sense..

"

Breathing Through Tears

Fully clothed, I stand in the shower,

Water beating down on me,

Your blood flows off my jeans straight down the drain,

Blue lights shine through the window,

I can’t breathe through my tears,

The blood dyed water covering the white tub,

One minute I was fast asleep,

The next I’m cradling your limp body in my arms,

My back slams against the wall and I sink my body in to the pooling blood water,

Screaming at God “why would you take her so soon!”

What’s the use?

My mom’s gone and here I am,

Fully clothed,

Standing in the shower,

Blood dripping from my jeans straight down the drain,

And blue lights shining through the window,

Trying to breathe through my tears.
