Sleepless nights

Sleepless nights

A Poem by Anindita Janhabee
"

Out of sleep...

"

I remember the day

It was raining heavily

And you were all set

To leave the town…

I remember the hour

It was like thorns piercing

At the centre of my heart

As you walked away…

I remember the minute

I felt like I was falling

Into uncountable pieces

For you didn’t even think of me…

I remember the second

When tears shed

From my dark brown eyes

Because you left me alone…

I remember each moment

That passed as I missed you

From the core of my heart

Cause my soul belonged to you…

I remember each night

I kept thinking of you

Being sleepless

And still loving you…

Beautiful in a way but very heartbreaking and sad write.
I enjoyed reading this quite allot though.
This was full of emotion, and meaning.
Heartbreak is hard and in this poem you explain just how hard it really is.
Very well written.

thanks for the intense read....
thank k you!!!
"sleepless nights" is quite a captivating title. and the choice of your ideological words have treasured the worth of whole written poetry so well. i very well know, it's very piercing when heart aches, & mind seems to be so disturbed over night... & for what? -- nothing! -- just in a hope that someday time will revert back to old trespass gone arena of life, & we'll then able to change what's never distorted, perhaps.. funny it is, nothing comes back to us but what strikes hard back to life is... misery -- the misery of "sleepless nights". excellent work, doll.

thanks for the warm support dear!!!
Sad, poignant and heartfelt words, that repeat in the mind, over and over, as you replay the awfulness of being left, over and over in your mind. Probably the worst fate of all is all those unanswered questions.
