~ Imperfection's Beauty ~

~ Imperfection's Beauty ~

A Poem by S Jack JA
"

- Perfection can be perceived within its imperfection -

"

In the corner of the room,

  a piece stands out,

Its size seems not quite

  fitting about,

I move the piece...

  shuffle it around,

To form a match

  on a suitable ground.

I twist and turn,

  rearrange and shift,

Trying to find the place

  that nicely fits,

The misfit object...

  defies the norm,

Refusing to be

  discarded or forgone.

It may not belong,

  it may not conform,

But I see the beauty

  in its uncommon,

A reminder that

  perfection is not a goal,

Rather, imperfection

  brings a blissful flow.

So I take on the challenge;

  the puzzle to solve,

As I make space

  for what doesn't fit aloft,

For in the dance

  of placing and adjusting,

I find the precess

  harmoniously pleasing.
