Last words

A Poem by Johnny A. Rojas
"

I often wonder if in my dying days i'll b able to tell the person i cared for how i feel; the one I left alone instead of staying with her.

"

I have so much to say

but my time is fading now

my strength is leaving me

I will just write them down

Once in a while

I remember you

Once in a while

I wish I was with you

Once in a while

I feel you

Standing against the wall

I look up to heaven now

Trying to get my strength

But is almost over now

I just want to take a few lines

A few seconds of your precious time

To tell you that I’m glad you are here

Once again in my life

now I feel free

thank you for being around.

Precious moments of my life

I lived when I was with you

Once in a while

I think of you

Once in a while

I dream that you said it

Once in a while

I feel I never left you

Standing alone (regretting)

My breathing is heavy now

I can not continue in this battle

I thank you for being in my life

I appreciate you more now

My days are coming to an end

But for now

I want to scream it out loud

...I...

...I LOVE YOU!

I hope you heard me

this time around
