My H.S girlfriend send me a pic we stopped dating back in 1985 looking at her picture made me flash back

Like hitting rewind on the DVD 

I travel without a just cause 

Just listening to the quiet storm 

Feeling like we felt when we were in love 

I time travel back to your side 

And now I want to hold your hand 

Remembering the way we laughed 

Feeling each other for the first time

Loving me true with your tender touch 

Feeling like a cloud way up above 

Remembering walking hand in hand 

In the hallways of our school 

Love a pleasure that brings hearts together 

Separation made us grow closer 

And then there was the end 

I hate the way we felt apart 

Just because life had that planned

I’m a time traveler 

I can go back and see you 

the way I did back then 

Now I see a tear cloud my vision 

Cause I loved you so much

Now I see your photograph 

And I think I’m near you again 

To feel your tender kiss 

Feeling your sweet embrace 

In a way I’m glad you are wearing shades 

Cause I would have a hard time 

Thinking of leaving your side again

Now I’m back in my reality 

And it really sucks
