Her Form

Her Form

A Poem by NightShade
"

This is unfinished business but I figured I'd post it anyway...

"
Sweet chariots of sadness
Pools of blue, deep and cold
To drive a man to blissful madness
Lost within an empty soul

Flowing, warm and earthen mane
Touch, soft as life's first breath
Over Heaven and Hell her powers Reign
Beyond the Realm of Death...

Be it unfinished business, I feel like it is a complete poem still. I imagine this is a person's recollection of seeing an Angel, beautiful yet dark. Evil not by choice but by circumstance. And being able to even catch a GLIMPSE of her is lucky indeed...maybe even bad luck. As the man gives the final line; it is the moment he loses grip of sanity and takes the plunge into 'bliss'. I enjoyed it very much. Great poem

Nice! The words you chose and how you place them, make them a wonderful kaleidoscopic for the mind....nice.

Not many poems can be called an elegant work of genius--but this is one of 'em. I like how the flow of the words is unbroken throughout the whole piece, like an ocean wave with no end in sight. Also, it's an accurate picture of a woman--a real woman.
