A Poem by An owl on the moon

Come alive and taste the rain…

Life runs crimson through seeping scars

A shattered soul ripped by raven lies

Bitter tasting prison with cerulean bars

Screams splinter peaceful night skies…

Come alive, come alive and taste the rain

Leave behind your bitterness and pain…

Oh you will know the nightmare is over

And your auburn dream has come alive

When you taste the ginger on my fingers

And you look into my sapphire eyes…

You’ve come alive, come alive to taste the rain

Left behind your bitterness and pain...

This is exquisite writing. It so reminded me of the moment in "V for Vendetta" after V is finished torturing her and showing her the 'way' he takes her out into the rain, and all the self-pity and fear and darkness in her washes away as she muses that "God is in the rain." You've captured the concept of that moment stunningly with this. I was truly enraptured by it, as I am with every one of your writing.

I love this poem, it reminds me of how Mozart's compositions make life and death similar and something to be considered as part of our being. I love extremities, for good there has to be bad and your poem just brings it out well.

I always love pieces that emphasize the joy that comes with the pain. There is beauty in everything, even in the darkness. You captured the concept wonderfully. ^^

There's something so appealing, so elemental, about winter changing into spring, death changing into've captured that element precisely
