Shh Don't Tell Them

Shh Don't Tell Them

A Poem by Charles Petrie
"

Just a poem about what you need to be a writer.

"

Shh Don't Tell Them

Shh don't tell them
That I said this now
But writing's easy
If you have with which to write
And that to write upon

Aye that's it
No secret thing
Do you have need of
Just as I said
And you you too
Can be a writer if
It strikes you so

And a seat of course
For words can't be wrote
Whilst standing up
It just can't be done
By any normal kind

Now writing's easy
But as you'll no doubt note
I said nothing of
Well good or great

And there's reason for that
For that's beyond
Like writing on my feet
That's too a feat beyond
My meagre skill

I will keep at this for as long as I draw breath.

Very nice! I especially enjoyed this stanza>>>

Now writing's easy
But as you'll no doubt note
I said nothing of
Well good or great

Isn't that so! Take care~~~

I like this one.. Writing is actually an easy thing to do.. it's the writer that makes it difficult...
The only thing I see wrong with it is the misspelling of the word "meager" =D
