The Walk

The Walk

A Poem by Jaxson Phoenix

As we walk along the shore
and feel the ocean breeze
we dream of life yet to come
and let our minds roam free

We share a laugh
and a smile or two
we walk and talk
and gaze at the moon

I hold you close
and caress your hand
while we're watching
the surf hit the sand

We dance on the shore
as the soft music flows
and I hold you close
as the cool night wind blows

I patiently wait
for that moment of bliss
when I hold you tight
and we tenderly kiss

I hold you so close
you can feel my heart beat
and I feel as though
I've been swept off my feet

Hoping and praying
and wishing on stars
that this love we have found
will eternally be ours

I nicely remember the wild heart beats of joy in such moments with the new chosen one, the happy tingling that creeps up the arms throughout the whole body from hands that join for the first time what makes our dream and wish come closer to reality and ...

Very well done. You opened memory lane here, and projected wonderful images to my inner eye. You beautifully captured those moments in your write.
It has a nice flow, and is an easy read. Good job!
